In-app feedback
Open Traffic Guard, choose View Details, then go to Settings and select Send Feedback. The app sends your note to TinyNeed's private Slack support channel with a small diagnostic summary so we can understand hotspot issues faster.
Helpful details to include
- Your macOS version.
- The Traffic Guard app version.
- Whether you were connected to a phone hotspot, such as iPhone or AndroidAP.
- A screenshot of the Traffic Guard detail window.
- The app name or helper process that looked suspicious.
Common fixes
The app is paused on my hotspot
Open Settings and check Phone Hotspot Detection. Add the current Wi-Fi name if it is your phone hotspot but not listed yet.
Chrome traffic is too broad
Grant Chrome tab access only if you want tab titles and URLs shown as clues. Without this permission, Traffic Guard can still show Chrome as an app.
An app was terminated unexpectedly
Open Settings and review App Protection. Keep automatic termination off unless you trust the rule and understand the risk of unsaved work.
